Katavi offers a year-round safari experience to safari-goers like the touristy northern Serengeti. Although, if you wish to have the best possible experience without getting too wet, it’s best to go to the park during the dry season, from June to October. During this period, you will witness huge herds of wildlife grazing or gathering around watering holes, where you’ll most likely see Katavi’s most singular wildlife spectacle.
Katavi is known for its diverse wildlife. You can spot elephants, giraffes, Cape buffaloes, hippos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and a rich variety of bird species.
